Labor Day Weekend of 2013
Deep, grey, rain, clouds hung over the mountains, releasing their down poor late into the afternoons. Crisp cold air was intertwined with moments of warm sun, heating up the scalp of your hair. Bikers, hikers, fishers, & climbers everywhere. Marina beauty early in the morning, light reflexing off of Dillon Lake, calling our name to paddle board the small rippled waves. My favorite, is Abbey's Coffee. Sitting in the quaint, little, coffee shop, people watching, reading, & enjoying the weather, writing, & pondering. Breathing fresh air, having nowhere to be and nothing to do, that is the best. Grateful for time to refresh before school begins its journey. Time for a new year of savoring moments & living in the fullness of Christ. Thought I would post a quick blog update before I board the plane back to DFW, school begins this week & I have oh so much to say, yet not nearly enough time to type it all up. In the mean time, for a great read on how to fight school burn out, check out Shine & Soar Magazine's recent blog post here.
Visiting Frisco, Colorado? Check out a few of my favorite locations!
Abbey's Coffee || Great for a quick bike break, a little blog writing, or people watching. Adored the Vanilla Iced Latte, smooth, sweet, & delicious.
Pika Bagel Bakery & Cafe || Lovely for a bagel & coffee break!
Frisco Bay Marina || Super awesome paddle boarding, kayaking, or canoeing for rent. When the weather is just right, it is dreamy. Mountains surrounding you & clean water below you.
Just a few shots from this weekend! Enjoy!
